New year resolutions are overrated❌
Don't wait for a new year to better yourself
Drink more water, get a gym membership, try a new diet blah, blah,blah
Its that time of the year when everyone starts making lists of things they want to work on the minute the ball drops on the time square
After a few week or even days its pretty easy to realize that most of us fall short of our new year resolution. Gym memberships go unused, you're back to eating fast food and continue the same old habits we had last year.
So instead of announcing our goals to our friends and family come January 1st, we should all try something new.
Just do it
If the only reason you feel the need to start working out or eating healthier is because of the "starting fresh" feeling at the beginning of the year, it seems you don't really feel motivated enough to do it anyways. My favorite way to work on bettering myself is simply to start whenever I feel the urge to do so. I'll think to myself I should start writing so I'll go start a blogspot. Why wait around the new year when I've had 364 other days to start?
In the past few months I've wanted to change a lot of thing's regarding my habits and health so I could better understand my depression... It took me strength and zeal to finally do it but one thing I didn't announce it on any social Media platform or rather wait for everyone else to start working on their new year resolution I just did it... Started a blog post early this mid month and started expressing my feelings to the world I became an open book. And so far its been amazing knowing am helping a soul out there. I wanted to work on grasping my depression so I explored on meditation websites. I take a couple of minutes and go on (simple habits) its a good app BTW and force myself to take some time and meditate. Its good to have a site or routine that you can do for five minutes that can calm the brain and cause relaxation.
Whether its October march or july you have the power to make positive changes in your life. Don't wait around until next year. Go out and do it. Take the smallest of steps as you need and keep making progress. If you fall get up and try again.. Life is all about tryingⓂ
